Mobile Jump Starts

When your vehicle won't start, getting a jump isn't always as simple as connecting another car with a pair of jumper cables.

Modern vehicles contain sensitive electronic systems, and proper connection and voltage are important when attempting a jump start.

We provide mobile assistance for many types of vehicles, including:

  • Cars

  • SUVs

  • Pickup trucks

  • Work vehicles

  • Domestic vehicles

  • Asian vehicles

  • European vehicles

  • Push-to-start vehicles

  • Vehicles with traditional keyed ignitions

Signs You May Have a Dead Battery

A weak or discharged battery can cause several different symptoms.

Common signs include:

  • Engine will not crank

  • Rapid clicking when attempting to start

  • Interior or dashboard lights are dim

  • Headlights are weak

  • Vehicle electronics turn on but the engine will not start

  • Push-to-start system does not respond normally

  • Vehicle starts after a jump but will not restart later

These symptoms can indicate a battery problem, but they can also be caused by the charging system, starter, electrical connections, or another vehicle issue.

What If the Vehicle Still Won't Start?

A jump start cannot fix every no-start condition.

If the vehicle has adequate battery power but still won't start, the problem may involve the starter, alternator, ignition system, fuel system, security system, electrical system, or another component.

We will not promise that a jump start will repair an underlying mechanical or electrical problem. If the vehicle does not respond to a jump, additional diagnosis or automotive repair may be necessary.

Locked Out With a Dead Battery?

Sometimes a dead vehicle battery creates another problem: you can't get into the car.

Electronic door locks and keyless-entry systems may stop responding when the vehicle battery is completely discharged.

As an automotive locksmith, NorthWest Lock & Key can also assist with many vehicle lockouts. If necessary, we can gain access to the vehicle before attempting the jump start.

Lost or Damaged Car Key?

If the battery isn't actually the problem and your vehicle won't start because of a lost, damaged, or malfunctioning key, we may be able to help with that too.

Our mobile automotive locksmith services include:

  • Car lockouts

  • Car jump starts

  • Lost car key replacement

  • Car key duplication

  • Transponder key programming

  • Key fob programming

  • Push-to-start smart keys

  • Car lock repair

  • Ignition lock repair
